Gradient Graveyard.

So, when I posted these on Reddit, I didn't expect them to be so admired. It completely blew my mind. Honestly, I think they're too simple. Like.. Nothing special to look at. Cause I like to do crazy stuff that's eye-catching. Not that this isn't eye-catching, but it's not as exciting as other things I've done.

And I know there were a few requests for a tutorial.. The best I can give now is like, my process.
1. Base coat of polish
2. Sponge 2nd color
3. Sponge base color over 2nd color (this is for better blending)
4. Sponge 3rd color
5. Sponge 2nd color over 3rd color (this is for better blending)
6. Sponge 4th color
7. Sponge 3rd color over 4th color (this is for better blending)
8. Cover with glitter polish -let dry a little-
9. Draw moon (I use stripe rites)
10. Draw grass
11. Draw cat
12. Draw grave
13. White details (RIP, cat whiskers)
14. Give cat flakies for eyes
15. Draw black around the flakies so they aren't so obnoxious and chunky like they're supposed to be
16. Seche` Vite top coat

And that's it. (<---Understatement) Each hand takes about two hours. c:

For the cat, I used flakie bits for the eyes because cat eyes change colors in the dark however your light/angle is. It's way cool in person. :3

For this mani I used:
  • China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat
  • China Glaze 'Sweet Hook'
  • e.l.f. 'Lilac'
  • Butter London 'Scoundrel'
  • Butter London 'Marrow'
  • China Glaze 'Fairy Dust'
  • Stripe Rites: Black, Yellow, and White
  • China Glaze 'Luxe and Lush' (For the cat's eyes)
  • Seche` Vite

Mr. Bojangles and Candy Corn.

I was requested at work that I should do the skeleton nails that connect through all the nails for Halloween. This request was made some time ago.. But now it's mid October and there's no better time than now. :D

Now bear with me, I can't turn my thumb to where it perfectly lines up with its body.

This is the first time trying out my matte top coat besides on my nail wheels. I'm in loveeeeee with matte now. <3 <3 <3
I also love how it turned out over the skeleton bones. Originally, it was like a snow white. A few layers of matte top coat and it turned into the yellowed down white that only brought the bones to life even more.

I used for this mani:

  • China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat
  • China Glaze 'Liquid Leather'
  • Stripe Rite: White and Black
  • Butter London Matte Finish Top Coat

Also, the previous week I painted my sister's nails as little candy corns. This was right before bed on a week night, so I wasn't able to clean up too much or be as patient as I had wanted. I was also a little lazy to upload it.. But here they areeeeeee nowwwwww... c:

My dad clipped her nails. So.... Yeah...

For this mani:

  • China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat
  • Zoya 'Arizona'
  • Maybelline Color Show 'Fierce N Tangy'
  • Maybelline Color Show 'Porcelain Party'
  • China Glaze 'Electrify'
  • Seche` Vite

Jack-o-lanterns!

It's getting closer and closer to Halloween!

Sorry, I've been a bit delayed with uploading. I've been really under the weather with a cold. It started off as laryngitis, which I get at least 3 - 4 times a year, with painful coughing, congestion, stuffy nose so I can't breathe, followed by losing my sense of taste for a few days, stuffy ears.. Uhhghh. Now I'm at the, 'Don't worry Megan, you're healing!' phase for sure. All that's left is manly coughs and stuffy nose and congestion for about a week longer. ;(

Anyways, I saw this design on google and decided to give it a go. The original picture had all nails being jack-o-lanterns. I thought it was a bit much, so I decided to toss in some accent nails to give it some pizazz.

Also, on the accent nails, I had put down the black glitter polish on ALL nails, so then I covered them with orange polish because I was too lazy to remove the black glitter....

For this mani I used:

  • China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat
  • Butter London's 'Gobbsmacked'
  • Zoya's 'Arizona'
  • Stripe Rite: Yellow
  • Orange acrylic paint
  • Seche` Vite
